TRENZ is the window into New Zealand’s $35 billion tourism industry.
It is the most significant international business-to-business travel and trade event on the New Zealand tourism industry calendar. Over the four days of appointments, activities and networking functions, more than 1500 delegates gather to connect, do business and gain fresh media stories.
Over 1100 New Zealand tourism industry leaders and professionals, and top government representatives, meet to showcase their products and services to over 370 International and New Zealand Buyers. With ample opportunities to connect, network and secure contracts, the event has been a huge driver of tourism business since its conception.
Previously known as Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand, TRENZ started in the 1960s as an annual travel trade show based in Auckland. The earliest iterations of TRENZ hosted about 30 Sellers (or Exhibitors) and Buyers. Today, TRENZ is 100 times the size and boasts an international reputation as a preeminent business driven event. Since 1999, TRENZ has successfully taken place in various centres around New Zealand including Auckland, Rotorua, Christchurch and Queenstown.
